Frequently Asked Questions
How do I measure the hinge holes?
On your old front, measure the distance from the top edge (S1) to the centre of the hinge hole, then from the bottom edge (S2) to the centre of the hinge hole. Enter these dimensions in the measurement sheet or directly in the Beptum Front Planner. (see sketch)++
What does “left-hand door” or “right-hand door” mean?
If a cabinet door (front) opens to the left, it is a left-hand door; if it opens to the right, it is a right-hand door. Enter it accordingly in the Beptum measurement sheet or Front Planner.
What size are the hinge holes?
The hinge holes have a diameter of 35 mm and a depth of 13–16 mm.
Do I also have to measure the side distance of the hinge hole?
No, you do not need to worry about that. The distance from the side edge to the hinge holes is between 4–6 mm as standard.
Where can I find the thickness and the technical drawings of the door fronts?
You will find the technical drawings with all detailed information in our PDF catalogue, among others.
Are handle holes drilled into the fronts?
No, because of the large number of possible handles we cannot drill handle holes.
Fitting and removing fronts?
To remove the old front, simply detach your old kitchen front from the hinge. Then fasten the hinge to the new front and screw the front on.
What material are the fronts made of?
All fronts (except the melamine resin and acrylic fronts) are made of medium-density fibreboard (MDF), comparable to solid wood. The melamine resin and acrylic fronts are made of chipboard.
Is the melamine resin front also covered with a foil?
No. Unlike the foil fronts it is not made of MDF but of chipboard, is manufactured in colour and finished with a high-quality 2 mm ABS edge.
Can all colours be combined with all front models?
Each front can only be combined with the colours of its own front category.
How do I measure the front correctly?
Ideally, measure on the back of your old front (without milling or rounded edges). Kitchen fronts are usually 3–10 mm smaller than the cabinet body (depending on the manufacturer).
How do I calculate the square metre price of the fronts?
Fronts are calculated per m² (e.g. 100 cm x 100 cm = 1 m²). Example: 50 cm x 50 cm equals 0.25 m². At a price of €65/m² that is 0.25 m² × €65 = €16.25.
How do I care for my new fronts?
With a damp cloth and, if needed, a little washing-up liquid. Do not use scouring agents, steel wool or alkaline cleaners. With lacquered fronts, take particular care to avoid scratches.
Do all front models cost the same?
No. It is not the front model that determines the price, but the choice of foil (colour).
Why are your fronts so inexpensive?
Because Beptum produces the fronts itself in large quantities and sells them online – without the cost of warehouses or showrooms – and the ordering process is streamlined by the online planner.
What is the difference between a drawer and a pull-out?
The distinction is only there to make things clearer – in production it is the same technique. Drawers/pull-outs and cover panels are made without holes on the back (except for systems such as IKEA).
What is the difference between the fronts AB02, AB03 and AB05?
The AB02 front has an edge radius of 2 mm.
The AB03 front has an edge radius of 3 mm.
The AB05 front has an edge radius of 5 mm.
How can I make changes to my plan?
On the website, go to “My area” → “Plans”. Click the pencil next to the plan you want to change.
Do you also supply foils or cover panels?
- In the colours of the 3D category we offer foils (without adhesive coating) and cover panels in thicknesses of 10 mm, 18 mm or 28 mm.
- In the Lacquer, Alvic and melamine resin categories we only offer a thickness of approx. 18 mm.
When does the order become binding?
The order only becomes binding once you have paid. Enquiries, quotations and sample foils sent to you are free of charge.
Payment, prepayment — how safe is my money?
As all fronts are custom-made, we only deliver against prepayment. In the event of an incorrect delivery, a replacement will be sent free of charge.
How are the shipping costs calculated?
Shipping costs are calculated individually according to the size and weight of the order; you can see them once your order is in the shopping cart.
How long is the delivery time (production time)?
The delivery time is approx. 3 to 5 weeks after production confirmation; for lacquered fronts 6 to 10 weeks.
What if the goods are damaged in transit?
If a delivery arrives damaged, simply send us a photo and you will receive the damaged front again free of charge.
Is collection from Beptum possible?
Since February 2023 collection in person is no longer possible.
What shipping costs apply abroad?
The estimated shipping costs for the following countries are calculated automatically in the shopping cart.

We are completely convinced by our products, which is why we give you a 15-year warranty on all our fronts.

Which countries do you ship to?
Please note that we can currently only ship our kitchen fronts to the following countries:

Why don't you deliver to Switzerland?
We regret that we are currently unable to deliver to Switzerland.
The reasons include customs regulations, high shipping costs and other logistical challenges that force us to limit our delivery area. However, there is an alternative solution for Swiss customers. Service providers such as https://www.deutsche-lieferadresse.com/ offer a German delivery address for Swiss customers, through which you can receive our products. This service lets you enter a German address as the delivery address for your order. From there, your order is forwarded to your actual address in Switzerland.
Why can't the GB22 front model be ordered in every foil?
For production-related reasons, the GB22 front model is not available in the following foils:

IKEA Metod or IKEA Faktum? How to identify your IKEA cabinet
Not sure whether your IKEA kitchen is a Metod or a Faktum? Here is a simple guide to identifying the cabinet body:
Plinth
- METOD: 80 mm high
- FAKTUM: 160 mm high
Cabinet height
- METOD: 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1400, 2000, 2200 mm
- FAKTUM: 348, 572, 700, 924, 1248, 1948, 2172 mm
Cabinet width
- METOD: 200, 300, 400, 600, 800 mm
- FAKTUM: 198, 298, 398, 498, 598, 798 mm
Pre-drilled holes
- METOD: two rows, 17 mm from the cabinet edge
- FAKTUM: one row, 28 mm from the cabinet edge
Drawers
- METOD: white sides, 1-8 drawers
- FAKTUM: grey/silver sides, 1, 2, 3, 5 drawers
Note
If the features match, it is most likely a Metod or Faktum kitchen. If they differ, it could be another brand.
Position of the production labels and the protective film
- Melamine resin fronts: production label on the front, no protective film.
- Foil fronts (3D front): label on the back, protective film in some cases (transparent, green or blue).
- Alvic Luxe/Zenit: protective film on the front, label on the front.
- Alvic Syncron: label on the front, no protective film.
- Lacquered fronts: label on the back, no protective film.
- Recommendation: remove the protective film only after fitting.

Materials used, certification
The products are manufactured from the following materials:
• Milled MDF board in various thicknesses (usually 8, 18 and 30 mm)
• Waterproof PVC foil with a temperature resistance of up to 120 °C and low abrasion resistance
• Waterproof adhesive, cured by heat; heat resistance: 70 °C – 80 °C
Dimensional tolerances and bending
The dimensional tolerance of the product can be + 0.5 mm/- 0.5 mm. The minimum and maximum dimensions of the fronts depend on the design and the technical conditions and are stated in the product catalogue. Stress in the materials used can cause the product (front) to bend; this is therefore not grounds for complaint. The tolerance here is +-5 mm per metre of length or width.
Minimum and maximum dimensions
The maximum and minimum dimensions of the products depend on the technical capabilities of the machines used, as well as on the size of the raw materials used:
• All fronts can be produced in a maximum length of 245 cm and a maximum width of 125 cm
• All fronts with a high-gloss foil can be produced in a maximum length of 245 cm and a maximum width of 120 cm
• Foils that have a vertical (||) grain direction relative to the height as standard can be ordered horizontally (=) up to a maximum height of 125 cm
• Foils that have a horizontal (=) grain direction relative to the height as standard can be ordered vertically (||) up to a maximum height of 125 cm
• The minimum dimensions of all 3D fronts are 4.80 cm x 9.00 cm
