How to recognise an IKEA FAKTUM kitchen
FAKTUM was IKEA's kitchen system until METOD was introduced. Many of these kitchens are still in perfect technical condition today – only the fronts are showing their age.
- Cabinet heights: 348, 572, 700, 924, 1248, 1948 or 2172 mm
- Cabinet widths: 198, 298, 398, 498, 598 or 798 mm
- Depth of base cabinets: 580 mm, plinth height 160 mm
- Typical feature: FAKTUM base cabinets have three vertical rows of holes

Whether one large drawer or two, three or five drawers stacked: we make the drawer fronts in the FAKTUM heights for cabinet widths of 30, 40, 50, 60 and 80 cm. In the planner, simply select the combination of your cabinet – the planner sets the correct sizes automatically.

Delivery and installation
Production takes approx. 3–5 weeks (lacquer 6–10 weeks). The fronts are simply mounted on your existing hinges.
Cabinets for your FAKTUM kitchen, too
Is a cabinet missing or damaged? We supply base and wall cabinets in FAKTUM sizes – so you can add or replace individual units without replacing the whole kitchen. Matching soft-close hinges, mounting plates and a drilling template are available in our accessories.
Frequently asked questions about IKEA FAKTUM fronts
Do Beptum fronts fit my IKEA FAKTUM kitchen?
Yes. We manufacture the fronts in the exact FAKTUM sizes with holes for the original FAKTUM hinges. In the door planner, simply choose "IKEA FAKTUM" and the size of your cabinet.
Does IKEA still sell original FAKTUM fronts?
No, IKEA now only offers the METOD system. METOD fronts do not fit FAKTUM because the grid sizes differ – for example, FAKTUM base cabinets are 70 cm high, METOD base cabinets 80 cm.
Can I reuse my existing hinges?
Usually yes – the holes match the original FAKTUM hinges. If you want to upgrade, we also offer soft-close hinges for FAKTUM and matching mounting plates.
Which material is right for my FAKTUM kitchen?
Melamine resin fronts are the robust and affordable choice, 3D fronts offer millings and wood looks, Alvic high gloss and super matt a particularly premium surface, and lacquered fronts many RAL colours. You will find a comparison in our guide Which front is the right one?
Can I order individual fronts?
Yes, you can also order just individual fronts, for example to replace a damaged door. For lacquered fronts a minimum order value of €100 applies.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes approx. 3 to 5 weeks after production confirmation, 6 to 10 weeks for lacquered fronts.
How can I see in advance what my kitchen will look like with new fronts?
