How to recognise an IKEA METOD cabinet
METOD has been IKEA's kitchen system since 2014. Typical features are the fixed grid sizes and the rows of holes in the cabinet:
- Cabinet heights: 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1400, 2000 or 2200 mm
- Cabinet widths: 200, 300, 400, 600 or 800 mm
- Typical feature: METOD has four vertical rows of holes (FAKTUM only three)
- Plinth: 80 mm high
As with IKEA, the fronts are each 3 mm smaller than the grid size – for example 39.7 × 79.7 cm for a 40 × 80 cm cabinet.

Do Beptum fronts fit my IKEA METOD kitchen?
Yes. We manufacture the fronts in the exact METOD sizes with holes for the IKEA hinges. In the door planner, choose "IKEA METOD" and the size of your cabinet.
What is the difference to original IKEA fronts?
The sizes are identical, the choice is bigger: melamine resin, 3D fronts with millings, Alvic high gloss and super matt as well as lacquered fronts in many RAL colours. Plus a 15-year warranty.
Can I reuse my existing hinges?
Yes, the holes match the IKEA hinges. You only replace the fronts.
Are there fronts for dishwashers and fridges?
Yes, we make matching fronts for integrated appliances in METOD cabinets – simply select the corresponding cabinet type in the planner.
Are there fronts without handles?
Yes, for example fronts with grip recess. Matching handles can be found in our accessories.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery takes approx. 3 to 5 weeks after production confirmation, 6 to 10 weeks for lacquered fronts.
How can I see in advance what it will look like with new fronts?
